Some friends of mine did the whole stretch-limo thing for our leavers' ball, very funny especially when it had to manoeuvre through the narrow gatehouse Didn't invite me though  bah!

My prom, oh its precious memories. Actually it was crap, the whole party thing was rubbish, although it was done in Britannia Hotel, and we did hire a limo etc... But the best thing baout my prom was, my dress. Oh I love wearing it, slinky black. I want to wear it out everywhere, but everyone wud laugh at me if I did, lol. Im sure Shane would like it, lol.

I did as well- but was fine! wore them from 5:30 in the afternoon till 8:30 in the morning! Lol was a nice way to end school, even though it was well over a month ago- doesn't time fly?!

stilleto's....hmm mine aren't the most comfortable this year either, i can forsee myself having to be seat-ridden by 9pm! my friend had stupidly high heels last year, and after several martinis/lemonades she was on the dancefloor about 5 inches shorter...that'll be me this year

One word comes to mind: pathetic. I'm sure your prom was wicked but what's this trend of copying the Americans' social habits?
Socially, the Americans are so different from the Brits.

I think some people just watch a bit too many crap American shows and imagine they represent the real America. If they were realistic, the Americans wouldn't bother watching them...

nothing wrong in an after-party i don't think, whether it's copying 'fake' american culture or not. if it's what people want to do, let them do it. other cultures are becoming more integrated every day
