I've thought about this a lot and I really have no idea what to do.
My father is verbally abusive to me and sister just this week he called me a f***ing **** and a lazy f***ing cow, and to my mum he's also quite mentally abusive and sometimes pinches her and threatens to hit her.

Today he threatened to 'smash up something you love' and before he's broke her jewelry, and antiques which she loves, he's also smashed our mirror before and the oven.

When this happens she always says she cant do this anymore, and more often than not she ends up apologizing to him for whatever reason he got angry.
The main reason why my mum doesn't leave him is because the run a business together so if they split up they'd still have to see each other and talk every day?

I've told my mum before to get a divorce but she just doesn't really listen and I don't know what to do anymore. I don't want to report my father or anything because at the of the day he's still my dad, but I know something needs to be done.

Your dad is definitely an abusive bully so don't provoke him.

You can't make your mum leave. It has to come from her. In this regard I don't know what to advise but at minimum I think you should talk to her. Of course divorce is financially scary but sometimes it's gotta be done.
