What are two precautions that should have been take when setting up a potomerer to obtain realiable measurements of water uptake


Give two reasons why the potometer does not truly measure the rate of transpiration

No air bubbles and that the plant you are using has time to acclimatise.

Not all of the water taken up will be transpired (which is what this experiment assumes); some water will be used for cooling, for photosynthesis and so on; some water may also be lost to the environment, rather than to the plant, by evaporation.
