Hi, so I'm about to do my GCSEs in a couple of weeks and all this revision has given me a rough idea of what i want to study at A level. I wanted to ask for your opinion on these choices. I'm predicted A* in these subjects as well btw.

    Maths
    Further Maths
    Physics
English Literature (probably dropping it after AS)

my question is, are these subjects going to be too much, and is English literature really going to be helpful if i want to pursue a maths degree? My thought process was that it shows a range of skills hence why I'm seriously considering it.

Dropping English at AS Is probably a good idea because it's not really relevant and I don't think uni are bothered about you having a range of subjects. Just make sure you enjoy whatever subjects you pick

I study maths and physics and you will have to work hard to do well in them, but no more than you would in any other subject. Depends how natural they come to you because you people just find them really easy!

Thanks for the reply. I've heard A2 physics is unbelievably hard. What do you think?

Not sure about other exam boards but I'm on aqa and unit 4 is definitely very hard, but the rest of a2 physics is fine! It is definitely a challenging a level but if you are predicted an A* at GCSE I'm sure you will be fine.
