Is this a moments question? If so, the main one that jumps out to me is that you've assumed the log is uniform.

If you model a log as a rod it means that it doesn't bend.

Only if it's a uniform rod. :wink: They can give non-uniform rod problems, even in M1.

Ah yes, not bending was the main one. Air resistance being negligible is fairly unimportant compared to that. :redface:

It could be a uniform rod or a non-uniform rod.

Another assumption of a rod is that it has length only - the width and breadth are neglected.
