worried - written wrong paper reference

For my chinese exam i wrote the wrong paper reference. I have been entered in the 1667 but instead the lady(who didn't know anything) told me to write 1666 and i realised now i was suppose to write 1667 and this may cause a problem if they thought it was the 1666 because that set of papers needed a speaking while the others didn't so if they thought i did the 1666 version they may count the marks as lower than they should be........

Do you think writting wrong paper reference make that much difference or do they just take the reference i have been entered in?

Phone the exam board and explain what has gone wrong.

no the school checks everybody has filled in the front of their paper correctly before sending it off

Tell your school and tell the exam board, they'll sort it out.

The exam board knows which course you've been entered in for, and they should notice when marking your script that you've accidently written the wrong number. Don't worry, the examiners aren't out to get you, they want you to succeed.

SO in the event this has happened don't panic. BUT do phone them up and make sure...

Happened with me and English Lit too.

Don't worry, the school checks them thoroughly before they're sent off and change any mistakes with details...etc.

The school should notice and change it for you when they check, but if not, I'm sure the examiners will work it out.
