Did you apply to other private schools like Eton, Rugby, Charterhouse, Marlborough or Harrow?

What school did you end up in and how has your experience been so far?

nope, i only applied to dulwich college because my mum's friend's son went there. In fact i applied to other schools so late (cos i forgot oops) that the only school giving me an offer was the norwood school, a former girl school xD

tbh it's a good school, i loved it, had so many amazing trips and experiences in the first year (yr7) but then i had to move to wales. education in wales compared to london is way slower. here they go by the book, they dont stretch children's ability. so i was exposed to a lot of controversial books like to kill a mocking bird, with topics like rape and stuff in yr7, but they didnt teach that until yr11 here. I learnt cool maths stuff like factorial in yr 7. i was doing simple adding and multiplying when i moved here...

but im doing ok i guess, i'm aiming for mainly A and A* this summer exam.

yeah why not? the prestige and experience etc seems very good but then my mum would have to pull out thousands each year just for me by working even harder then she is now, so probably not ideal. public school is ok, but it's quite disruptive

Okay. Good luck in your exams and education. You seem like a balanced kid.

I have heard of kids developing serious existential problems due to not getting into schools like Rugby or Eton.

    all the best
