this guy im 'dating' is a massive Everton fan, I do enjoy watching football but I know nothing about it or the teams and I'd love to impress him by being able to have conversations about it with him, what things do you say to make it sound like I am really interested?

Randomly sing the Yaya/Kolo Toure song. It goes like this:

Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya, Yaya Toure. Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo, Kolo Toure.
Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya, Yaya Toure. Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo, Kolo Toure.
Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya, Yaya Toure. Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo, Kolo Toure.

Note: to make it more interesting for your bf you should try and put some moves in there. The default is the classic 'shoot the pigeons' for Yaya and 'spin the disks' for Kolo. Go get 'em babe.

Talk about some legendary Everton players like Kenny Dauglish, Ian Rush and John Barnes. Also be sure to mention how Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley turned Everton in to one of the best teams in Europe in the 70's and 80's.
