June 2009 C4 PPQ OCR Watch

    Hi, i have a few questions about this paper if anyone could help.

    For part 3(i) the answer i got was 1-(2x/a) +((3x^2)/a).
    Also i could do the integration in partt 6(ii)

    3i. The first thing you should do is take 'a' out :

    \displaystyle (a+x)^{-2} = \left[a \left(1+\frac{x}{a} \right)\right]^{-2} = a^{-2}\left(1+\frac{x}{a}\right)^{-2}

    Can you carry on from here?
