I have been useless in deciding until now so I would be interested to know what people think?

    My thoughts:

York - AAA offer; I am very familiar with the city, which I love; better and cheaper accommodation; wide choice of modules; easier to get home if I needed to; easy access to bigger cities like Leeds; a long walk in to the city, which sort of concerns me because I don't want to feel trapped on campus; lower rankings both overall and just for history.

Exeter - A*AA offer; I've only visited the city once but it seemed lovely; higher in terms of rankings; short walk from campus to city; probably my favourite course out of all the ones I have seen; didn't particularly like the accommodation and it was expensive for what it is; would take over 3 1/2 hours to get home.

I would suggest go with the course. FWIW I studied History at York and loved it. However, now I wouldn't even apply there and Exeter would be high up on my list because of the topics they offer.

BTW the walk into town at York isn't bad and you will only be on campus for your first year.

    Hello,

Why not read Jamie's blog about studying History at York. That might help you to decide:
