Quite interested to hear your opinions on persistence in dating. Not chasing or stalking, if a girl/guy says "no", but being persistent. For example, asking a girl out a week later directly with a time and place, after she gave you an excuse a week prior.

I see a lot of males, and I personally have been given advice numerous times to move on onto a next girl as soon as one says that she is busy or something, but is that always the thing you should do? What if there was an initial interest?

These two articles talk about persistence in dating:

Does anyone have any experience with persistence over social media, dating apps such as Tinder etc. they wish to share?

    Ask, wait, move on

If she shows interest later ask again

If it takes three times let her do the leg work.

Some people actually are just busy or have other things they need to do at the time. I think it's probably worth being persistent in a lot of cases, especially if you are enthusiastic about the person in question.

    This is what I thought.

In my case, the girl was laughing from all of my jokes, even the most awful ones, and when eventually I asked her whether she is around at this time, and whether is interested to grab a coffee - she said she's busy.

But the experience is quite different with my male friend, who is NEXTing every girl that does not return his interest. Perhaps he is losing out?

Also, some girls prefer persistence from guys, and some don't.
