does anyone know the difference between the chi squared n spearmans rank correlation n when we used them?

Chi-squared is used when you have categories so for eg whether the maggots turned left or right. For this, u would usually do a tally since in this is we are looking for frequencies
Spearman rank is when u have the same sample and u look for the associations between different measurements in the sample for e.g the relationship/correlation/ association between the number of turns the maggots take and the time it takes them to move to a particular place so in this example 1st measurement is the number of turns and the 2nd measurement is the timeLast edited by Anonymousfame98; 27-04-2016 at 20:39.
