Struggling with foundation degree apprenticehship, need advice!

Hi,

Okay so long story short I am struggling immensely with my studies at the moment, mainly due to my problems understanding the maths. The reason for this is because I have never been a strong learner of mathematics based studies due to a number of reasons (though I actually love doing maths), and I believe this is due to me getting average grades at GCSE level, and Sub-par teaching on my BTEC Engineering Level 3 Course (seriously, it was abysmal!).

So, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to perhaps drop out and redo my GCSE's, and the following September enroll on A Level Maths and Physics courses? To me it seems like the only logical next step considering I am WAY too far down this mathematical rabbit hole at the moment, haha. Especially since engineering is a sector I really want to succeed in.

So yeah, any advice or similar experiences would be amazing to hear, thank you!
