I was working as tutor at a after school for 8 months. In September 2015, I resigned as I was finding it hard to juggle work and uni. They told me they will pay me my monthly wage (£350) the week after I left. Long story short, they still haven't paid. Since then, I have texted and phoned but they don't pick up or text back. When I go there, the receptionist tells me they are not there

I'm considering telling the police. Is that a thing you can do?
Is there anything I can do,any advice will be helpful?

It's not a matter for the police. You should speak to the Citizens' Advice Bureau to get some practical legal advice on what you should do to ensure you are doing everything you can to try and reclaim the money owed.

The CAB will want to know details like whether you had an employment contract or anything in writing to confirm your hours.
