Recently found out I'm dyslexic. The person who tested me said I have a weird pen grip. My writing speed is slow and my handwriting is bad. Is it worthwhile to change my pen grasp? Also can someone give me advice on how to improve my handwriting?

It's ridiculously difficult to change it, I got told mine was bad when I was 10, I m now 21 and even though I gave it a good go it's barely changed since then, holding it any other way feels much less comfortable . What has changed is I take my time so in the rare occasion I need to write someone can actually read it, since uni no one has known how bad it actually is unless I show them so it probably won't matter once you ve left school anyway.

I know the "proper" way to hold a pen but I'm just so unused to it and I can't write properly

I have terrible hand writing and people say i use the standard writing style with my hand yet everything that comes out is ****. Stick to the mechanics your used to and just improve it. If you have pain then you should change it. If no pain your fine.

Practice is what people tell me, but i say ********. Its how you learnt to write when you were young. It takes a ridiculous amount of energy and time to change handwriting style. I tried myself to improve my own but i found no such improvements.
