Most of the art history talk on here is about Oxbridge and schools in London, and I know none of these schools I mentioned are as prestigious, but I’m curious to know if Sussex or Birmingham or York are decent and worth applying to/going to? Do they have a good rep as well? Or should I just stick with trying to get into Oxbridge or Courtauld or UCL next year? My interests are in 19th/early 20th century art mostly, but I’m also interested in medieval art and have found interesting modules/professors at each of these schools, so I’m not too sure.

York has a very good History department generally and seems well regarded for history of art too
