    Hey there,

I am a final year student. Earlier this month I decided with my personal tutor that I should apply for a medical temporary withdrawal. My temporary withdrawal date is set to the last day of term 2, and I would be returning on the first day of term 3 in 2017. However, as I put in my request only a couple of weeks ago (with supporting GP letters for my request,) it hasn't been processed yet, and I've received the grants & loans I am eligible for since term 3 has started.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what will happen as a result of this - would I have to pay it back immediately when my temporary withdrawal is processed, will I be able to keep this but not receive any financial support in term 3 2017, or another scenario? I'm just asking since I've spent about £80 of it already and need to know whether I should move it into my savers account for safekeeping until SFE ask for it before I spend any more of it.

I've tried getting through to SFE, spoke to two people about it, but seems neither knew exactly what will happen!

    Many thanks for any help.
