Politicians are calling for border controls, but many of these criminals are Romanian nationals with EU passports.

    From the article:
Although crime is low in Denmark compared to many other European countries, it has struggled with problems imported from abroad through Europe’s open borders Schengen agreement. The very nature of migrant crime is more taxing for Danish police officers, as a spokesman for the Copenhagen force, the most crime-ridden part of the country, said:“We are spending more and more time on it and we have set aside resources to take on foreigners. It’s everything from property crime to robbery, and more organised [crime].

I saw that but I meant do they have a link to the actual police report or a statement from the Police? (I'm not necessarily questioning the information but I'd like to see it for myself).

Maybe you can ask them. Metro is fairly mainstream and by no means a "far right" or "anti immigrant" publication. I don't see why they would want to manufacture the story. The relevant court documents are probably available to everybody in DK.

I would rather see the data for myself. I did actually find statistics from the Danish Statistics Agency; but it categorises criminals as 'Immigrants' or 'Persons of Danish Origin': https://www.dst.dk/en/Statistik/emner/kriminalitet.
