That's why I don't even listen to new Arab songs it's like they've all gone down hill over the years

My hubby saad :love:
Anything from saad to my childhood stars such as Diana Hadad,mustafa amar,ragheb alama and Nancy and nawal. Diana's songs were a huge part of my childhood,her songs such a shater and amaneh and mustafa' song habib hayati and el Leila doob,just miss the good old days.

I do like Noisestorm's music and he uses the double harmonic major scale... which a lot of Arabic songs use... if that counts xD

I'm a fan of the old classics personally... sabah fakhri, melhem barakat, ancient songs but its all about that quality melody and rhythm
Also modern dabke-style songs/singers are peng like fares karam :party2:
Has anyone heard of mashrou3 leila? They're a Lebanese band and often write music with lyrics that challenge attitudes towards homosexuality,religion,politics etc.. They were recently banned from performing in Jordan, although the ban was overturned today.
