this is not a riddle of any sort, just trying to work it out haha.

There is a tree on the edge of a pond. Which one is the oldest, the tree or the pond?

Either could be...

do the two things have any relevance? or am i just over analysing? lol

Well a pond could be made by rain, and then somebody plants a tree, or a tree seed is spread to that area. On the other hand a tree could have grown in a certain area and then next to it there's a load of rain and a pond is made...
