    Einstein was a Physicist, not a mathematician.

    As Physics is a branch of Science, Einstein was best known for Science rather than Maths. More precisely, Physics.

    Maybe the nobel people realised they should have given him the award for the legendary special relativity.. So decided that they should let him have it for the skanky photoelectric effect..
    I always have him in my mind as a guy in a white lab coat doing stuff with atoms, so I guess that makes him a scientist
