university medical questionaire for prospective med/dental students
Hi, the uni asked me to fill in this medical questionaire and send it to them and when i went to the GP centre, they said I needed to pay them £25 for my GP to fill it in. And when i was filling out my cheque to give to them, I asked what name to write and they said my GPs name not the surgery itself.
Did anyone else have to do this to do medicine/denstistry at uni?

Everyone that's offered a place on a medical degree is asked to complete a form to assess fitness to practice. Not all GPs charge for a letter but it is quite common and I have seen £25 as the standard fee before. As for paying a fee directly to the individual GP rather than the Practice, not sure how unusual that is!
