So when is the big day anyway? And is it being held at Girton? (to keep the thread vaguely on-topic)

Girton? Is that like the Cambridge equivalent of Vegas? It's certainly far enough away to elope too

If Girton was Vegas, then maybe we could have a Britney Spears-esque marriage lasting less than 3 days.

Don't be so pessimistic. Baz and Helenia are going to be a couple forever! With lots of little boaties running around the place (although Helenia won't have to deal with them because Baz will get a nanny, and then pack them off to posh school). Although I can foresee some arguments over their uni choices But no doubt the Clare love brainwashing will prevail

Yes, yes; their first child shall be called Clare if it's a girl; otherwise, we'll force them to name the child Robinson (like Robinson Crusoe).

I'm not getting married in any Tab Chapel.

My children aren't going to be Tabs

And they'll take their rightful place at the same school I went to. (Well, the boys anyway)

3 days! That's barely enough time to walk to Cambridge from Girton.

Hmmm...who was it suggested King's chapel just a few days ago? You, I believe.

*Thinks there may be some issues about the education of our children - I don't want them to be scum!*

There is no date yet, will leave that up to my delightful fiancé. It won't be in Girton though, tragically

King's was mentioned somewhere. And you've got to admit it's a)more impressive and b)more convenient

No, I don't, kids can go to your school if they want (have to find somewhere else for the girls, I don't want them at some poncy girls' school producing 50% lesbians and 50% bulimic sluts  )

I think someone asked where I was going, and I said King's so the chapel was mentioned. BUT, I never recommended it!

It's not there choice, they are sent! You need to sign up 3 years beofre, can't bloddy let 10 year olds decide!

Girls can go anywhere they want, local comp, I don't care.

Well, I would prefer Clare chapel, obviously, but I don't think we'd fit in all of UKL  so King's would have to be 2nd choice. Unless Balliol is really amazingly stunningly pretty, and even so I'm unconvinced because I have no connection to Oxford.

I think you have to allow kids some degree of choice - I was given that at least. If they're kicking and screaming and not wanting to go it's only fair to listen! But enough of parenting talk.

Who's going to be best man?
