How to prove an acid is polyprotic through calculations.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, is that polyprotic acids can be easily identified by acids that have more than two atoms of H in the formula of the compound. But in the assignment that I got from my lecturer, the question asked how to prove that an acid is polyprotic through calculations? Please help me. Thank you in advance. :smile:
