So I started my new apprenticeship on the 11th of this month, and for the first week I was too scared to ask about pay, but on the second week I asked about it and she gave me an employee form that asked for my bank details etc and she said I will be added to the monthly payroll which is at the end of the month.

I have two questions about this.

Firstly, considering I started on the 11th of april, does that mean I will get paid on the 11th of may considering that would a full month?

Secondly, if I do get paid at the end of the month, (which is saturday this week), am I more likely to get paid on the friday rather than the saturday (as the business I work for is closed on a saturday)

Any answers would be HUGELY appreciated, thanks

To your first question no you won't be paid on the 11th of each month because of that being when you started. If your employer says toward the end of the month they mean the last working day of the month so it will be the Friday as you won't be able to work the Saturday.
