I like a girl at work, and she told me she bought a car and said how much it was worth, I was then speaking to someone else about how much she bought it for, just as a general chat.

My concern is now that if the guy tells her, I heard you got your card for £xxxx, the only person who knows is me. Im thinking she may be thinking, that I said something bad about her.

She didnt say dont tell anyone, but if she does discuss this with the other guy she will know I was talking about her and think we may have been talking about other things.

Im thinking it may look bad on here behalf as she is quiet...

Just be honest and if she's offended then apologise.

Talk to her and bring it up casually like "so me and [other name] were talking about cars and how crazily expensive they get, I brought up how much yours was" ect...
