I have British citizenship, but grew up in the states. I've been accepted to a part time course for this September, but I hit my 3-year resident mark in January.
If I have the citizenship, have been working here for the 2 years 8 months, and have my company paying for my uni, would they still check when I first arrived in the UK?

yeah otherwise everyone would lie about how long they've lived in the UK

Yes, 100%. My ex-turned-friend works at a university and it's his job to check stuff like this.

Sort of committing fraud so yea
