Bristol or Exeter? Study abroad?

Hey,
I like both universities and I'm really stuck on which university to put as my firm choice on wednesday.
In a way i'm thinking I should put Bristol as it is one of the highest ranked geography departments in the UK which i'm guessing would be better for future studies/employment, it's a BSc degree even if you choose to specialize in human geography and also because Bristol is a vibrant city with lots to do.
However Bristol didn't give me an offer for a year abroad which i really want to do. I have been told there is a chance if someone fails to get 60% or drops out - if you've been to Bristol do you have any idea how likely this is?
Also student satisfaction at Bristol is very low which is kinda worrying...
Exeter on the other hand has offered me the year abroad  but it is less prestigeous and in a smaller town/city.

How have you liked studying geography at these univeristies? and how easy is it to gt good marks at Bristol?
