    Current Subjects (AS Level): ICT, Maths, Biology

    This is what I'm hoping for now:

    ICT: I'm working towards an B/A
    Maths: *unsure, D/C possibly B (if so i'll scrape it) (Took M1)
    Biology: U/E rip me

    I am hoping to take computer science at uni

    So my situation is very much on the edge at the moment, I'm already doing 3 AS levels so i need to get good grades in all three, i can't drop anything. My sixth form requires me to get at least EEE to stay and attend year 13 (A2) but of course, i don't want to carry on if i get low grades (At least BCC or higher). I want to at least a chance at getting ABB at the end of A2.

    I had a meeting with my careers advisor about 2 months ago after my mocks and parents evening, essentially I was been told that i was at risk of dropping out. My predicted grades at the time were:
    ICT: C
    Biology: E
    Maths: U
    Since after that i naturally started focusing on Maths, i am comfortable with C1 and C2 with 19 days until my exams start, but M1 is still a bit hit or miss with me. Over those 2 months, i have dropped from an E in Biology to a firm U (LOL).

    So if i do drop out, i obviously want to retake year 12 at another college (my sixth form doesn't allow retaking entire years). I am fine with going to another college to retake. Theoretically, if I fail Biology i will replace it with Business studies (a strong GCSE subject i took last year (year 11)) and keep the other two the same, but then this raises the issue of what should i pick as my 4th subject, which I believe I should be able to manage since, i would be picking up from where I left off.

    What do Uni's think about this?
    Let's say second time Lucky, i end up with A*AA (I know dreamy :P). and i apply to say UCL, Kings or Queens. I assume that i won't be allowed to hide the fact that i had retaken my AS levels. I know Imperial college requires high grades and on the first attempt which makes me think to some extent that most top unis (Top ~100) have this selection approach.

    Do my previous grades stand?
    What i mean by this is that say if i end up with A B U and retake all three but this time i end up with (respectively) C C A. does that mean i end up with A B A or do my previous grades not stand.

    Additionally, if my previous grades do stand can i take different subjects on the retake year in order to get better grades?
    Say i get an A in ICT that is 1/4 subjects done already. If i take another 3 subjects (excluding ICT) on the retake year and do well. Do i have the option of picking ICT back up for A2?

    If my grades stand from the previous year and i fail only Biology do i only have to retake Biology?

    I'm scared :L
