why on earth does would that make a difference to where you want to live? Yes, I did have net curtains in my room which I thought was sensible seen as my room looked on to the street. However, they were easy to move to the side. Why os ot such an issue though?

mine didn't but I wish they had... I bet seeing me stumble out the shower every morning wasnt a pretty sight for the people in the cafe across the street

I did not have net curtains.

Obviously this is an important issue when choosing one's accommodation, along with, of course, the circumference of the bin, the height of the hinges on the door, and whether the radiator knob turns clockwise or anti-clockwise.

I mean, who cares about researching walking distance to lectures, availability of laundry facilities and rental price, it's the net curtains you gotta worry about.

if mine have net curtains i shall be using them for a bon fire, to meet people out side....

lived with net curtains for years, hate them!!

WORST THINGS ON EARTH!

Reply 6

Rooms on the ground floor do. I am sure you will apprechiate them when it makes it more difficult for people to see you in your room as they walk past your window.

Reply 7

If you have them and don't want them, take them down! (so long as you put them back up when you leave, of course.)

^o) Are you serious?

Unless the net curtains have suddenly grown fangs, red eyes and supernatural powers, then I really don't think that you should care about such a trivial thing.

Reply 10

^^ Precisely. I agree with Trotsky too

Seriously, if you're in a ground floor room you will be VERY grateful for them.

Reply 11

its funny people think about these things

Reply 12

But...I have a net curtain phobia... :frown:

EDIT: I spelt phobia with an 'F' at first...how dreadfully uneducated. lol

Reply 13

If there is one take it down, or get someone else to take it down for you

'Twas a joke

Is there a latin name for that phobia? Or were the Romans too stylish for net curtains?

Reply 17

Phobia names come from Greek actually, not Latin :p:

And for the record, I can't find one.

Perhaps we could give it one?

According to my Greek dictionary (because that's where these names come from), the Greek for curtain is parapetasma.

Parapetasmaphobia it is then
