Hi there.
I currently have offers for Southampton and Newcastle and I'm really struggling to choose between the 2. I'm going to be studying Computer Science.
Could someone give me some feedback on either uni to help me decide?
I want a uni with good nightlife so Newcastle would supposedly be better but what's the nightlife like at Simon?
What's it like being a student at either uni?
I know Soton is better in league tables but how much does that matter?
How much fun do you have at either uni?
I live in London so Newcastle is pretty far from me so that's an issue also.
Has anyone studied CS at either uni? What's it like?
Could someone help me out please? I keep changing my mind!

I've moved this to a more appropriate forum for you. Also check out these pages - Newcastle and Southampton have their own forum so it may be worth looking there for specific information.
The only relevant thing I have to say is that distance can be important but people seem to manage it (I know a fair few international students who fly back to somewhere in Europe somewhere and more from Northern Ireland)
and chances are you won't be going back home that often, so don't let it be a huge influence unless it has to be.
