Edexcel's Copyright Laws

Hey everyone.

A friend told me something like Edexcel is supposed to have a deal with our school, where they provide the school's head or teachers with a user name and password, and hence give them access to past papers and mark schemes which they can then print and distribute to their students.... for their own use only.

I read about Edexcel's oh-so-strict Copyright Laws on their site, and my friend seems to be quite misguided. I'm hoping against hope there might be a possibility of my friend's being right anyway.

Can somebody shed some light here?

Much appreciated!

As far as I know, every time the school requires a past paper or mark scheme, they have to order it directly from Edexcel. Also, im pretty sure that you cannot get them in electronic form either.

Actually its true but in our school the head of department has a username and password which he uses to get past papers and once he has asked for one they will send one to him electronically and if he wants then a hard copy which will take longer. They are not supposed to be handed out unless the school has aquired the right to hand them out to students but most just do regardless.
