I'm always hungry...

and not pregnant or have ANY chance of being pregnant before anyone suggests that.
I have recently been on quite a drastic diet and to break the cycle I've decided to slowly try and get back into "normal" habits instead of binging every other day.
Thing is I feel hungry all the time
Today I've already eaten two pretty large bowls of bran flakes, a tub of blueberries ,a rice krispie bar and some tiger bread :s-smilie:
Any suggestions to WHY?

maybe you could be mistaking hunger for thirst.....when you feel hungry and think you need to eat something have a glass of water instead and see if that helps?! or when you feel like your hungry but you know you've already recently eaten then go for a walk or do something to take your mind of it - dont know if these suggestions will help - just a few thoughts.
also make sure you eat whole grain foods and maybe try porridge with some dried fruit or something as oats release energy slowly to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
sorry ive rambled - hope it helps!

Try these , they're all-natural and really work. They're the less expensive version of Adios but work just as well. They don't make you starve yourself or anything like that, they just make sure you don't overeat. (Obviously they won't work if you insist on eating Maccy D's for every meal or anything :p: )

May be you have a tummy bug, i cant remmeber what its called for the life of me? but it affects one in there people in the world at some stage.
Do you feel hungry almost straight away after a meal? if so get the doc's they take some blood and send it away to find out.

The reason im telling you this is because this particular bug can cause cancers, ulcers, affect the rythm of the heart, and in the long term a general unheathy feeling, as soon as you've eaten somthing it breaks it down and the bug multiplys by millions.

P.S. this is not meant to scare you its easy treated

I think you are talking about a tapeworm? If so, chances of the OP having one are slim, very slim. If it continues and everything else everyone has suggested doesn't work, then go to your doctor. But I second the water idea and the walking idea. I often find myself very hungry when actually I'm just bored.

No its not a tapeworm they are very rare in this country, the infection im talking about is called "Helicobacter pylori" most people live with it all there lifes without knowing, others no all about it you feel hungry all the time.
I know exactly what you mean OP I always seem to be hungry too. In my opinion it might be boredom-are you perhaps on study leave or someting at the moment and so the highlight of your day is food? cos thats mine at the minute as sad as it sounds lol which is why I have put on quite a bit of weight over the last few weeks. Try and take your mind off eating and do other things like meet up with mates or something else to take your mind off hunger.

Also dont keep picking, if your hungry eat like a full meal and then you probs wont feel hungry for ages.

It might be because you're studying a lot. Whenever I start studying really hard, and I mean like concentrating and putting in all your effort into it, then I get really hungary. Your brain and body need energy, so when you use a lot esp while studying, you crave more food. recently I have to eat something every half an hour. I dont think its that big of a deal.

Thats hardly alot of food, nor does it contain anything substantial and 'filling'. Also, that is hardly a balanced diet. For one thing, there is pratically no protein in there-maybe your body is craving it? Let's be honest, all you've had to eat really is nothing more than just a couple of bowls of ceral and some bread.

So yeah, eat proper, well proportioned, balanced and 'satisfying' meals and you'll be fine. Probably twice a day will do. A bowl of cereal is not a meal.

PS-A TAPE WORM????????? Where do you get off?

Look at the time when what you've quoted was posted, Cowz, that is actually quite a lot for just breakfast...

Do those really work? *looks hopeful* And what do they do? Suppress appetite or something?

I had this a couple of years ago, and I ended up in hospital because of it. It gave me REALLY bad stomach cramps and the only thing I could do to stop them (I felt anyway) was to eat. I was basically in and out of hospital for a few months but nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. I didn't gain weight or anything because of it, in fact I started losing weight and went down 7lbs. However it could not be this as it wasn't so much the hunger, it was just really painful stomach aches. However I could suggest something else it could be, maybe you're stressed? I don't know if you are sitting any exams but it is "exam season" and it can lead to pretty abnormal behaviour in people. Hope i was of some use, I'm not trying to scare you!! Sorry if I did but I doubt you'll end up in hospital. It's probably nothing to worry about.

tinkerbellejess - They're slimming aids/appetite suppressants, made from all-natural ingredients, and as I said, they're Adios' less expensive cousin

They really do work - you just take one tablet after each meal and they stop you snacking between meals

Anyone else think that not being hungry after a meal has nothing to do with taking a tablet.....

BETWEEN meals, not immediately after one. Obviously.

Cowz - You *******. I was always hungry between meals before, regardless of the size of the meal or the healthiness of the meal. Now despite not changing the size or healthiness of the meals I eat, I'm no longer hungry between meals. I haven't made any other lifestyle changes - the only thing that's changed is the fact that I've started taking this tablet.
Just because you're never hungry between meals doesn't mean you can speak for the rest of us. Now go and be virtuous somewhere else, will you?

Drink more and include more protein in your diet if you are getting desperate you can try some form of suppliment possibly a fibre suppliment or phase 2

Ok well those pills "help" in a few ways

they contain kelp which is rich in iodine you can buy iodine tabs from holland and barrat dirt cheap but they dont do much if u have a balanced diet. The iodine is used in synthesis of thyroxine which controls metabolism. anyway eat healthily and you wont need this

The Dandelion root is in there as a diuretic which will increase your water loss making you drink more this could have a negative impact if you read what some people have said above.

The boldo has one medicinal use and thats to help upset stomachs unless they included the fruit which contains a high variety of sugars which will help you feel full if you are low on sugars. It is not known as a diet suppliment as far as i know.

The mechanism for hunger is very complicated but i would try other methods to try to maintain your fullness starting with a balanced meal and more to drink
