Would using exam papers with the old syllabus from 2010 etc help with my exams this yr? Or will only the recent ones help?

Some of the questions might not be relevant and might not represent what they could ask you. You could maybe ask your teacher which of the questions they think will be relevant. But it depends how much the syllabus has changed wether there will be a lot of questions you can do.
