What style of shoes do most girls wear? I'm starting at a new school having been home educated since I was eight (it's a private school, but I don't think that really matters). The school's pretty strict on shoes, e.g. the heel has to be under 3cm and they have to be black smart, non trainer shoes. I found a pair that are black leather slip-ons, but with a thin black leather velcro strap across the middle. Is that cool? I've no idea :confused:

Thanks p.s I'm 15

wear whats comfy i guess. Ballet shoes tend to be the norm, but all the girls got fed up of their feet getting wet and started wearing trainers instead

buy some dr martens or kickers, they will stay pretty well till you leave school

also idk how stirct the school is but most tend to make themselves out to be strict but in reality teachers couldnt care less

Almost every girl wears Kickers at my school (we have to have black, tiny heels with no logos, too) or Dr Martens. I would recommend those as they last a while and should fit regulations. I actually just wear these flimsy single strap shoes just because it's my last year but I might buy some Kickers or that style when I leave for college since most of my shoes are just Converse style :-)

I would personally say no to the strap and maybe find something similar without the velcro bit. But if they are the shoes you like then get them! Everyone has different styles and tastes when it comes to clothes. Wear what you feel comfortable in!

I went to a private school and I always bought my shoes from Topshop or River Island. To be honest it doesnt matter, so long as they meet the school uniform requirements and they are comfy.

The ones that you like sound absolutely fine for school.

Hey! I go to boarding school and I'm in year 11, and I would advise something like the shoes in the links below. Don't go with velcro, that's usually for around year 8 and below.

These are the most popular shoes at my school. So, hopefully, if this post isn't too late, this will help you!
