    I'm moving into a 5 bedroom student house, how much would the average bills be?

    How much is your average:
    --> water and sewage bills (monthly/yearly)
    --> electricity bills (monthly/yearly)
    --> gas bills (monthly/yearly)
    --> TV license
    --> Sky
    --> Any other bill I've forgotten?

    ALSO, do you pay bills over summer when the house is empty? I suppose you'd have to pay for the water, TV license and Sky but what about gas and electricity?

    Water will massively depend on area.
    Electricity can vary depending on what type of heating system you have and any other electricity draining appliance (like tumble dryers).
    Gas again varies.
    TV licence is £145.50 a year, so that split between 5 is your yearly bill.
    Sky, depends on what package you get.
    Don't forget internet.

    You can use this website:

    https://www.splitthebills.co.uk/

    and it'll give you an estimate of how much you will all pay each a week.

    Yes you have to pay bills over the summer, but it will be cheaper because you won't be using the gas and electric.
