Mine n BF's 1st hol together

So me and my boyfriend are planning on booking a holiday together this summer. It will be our first time. I'm just wondering about other couples, have you holidayed together? If so, where did you go as we're not sure where we want to go. We don't want anywhere too lively such as magaluf, ayia napa etc but we want somwhere fun and hot!
Did other couples have a good time together? Was it strange being together 24/7? I'm looking forward too spending all my time with him, we spend enough time together as it is so it won't be anything new. Just wondering what everyone's general thoughts/experiences are?

Ooo you know I went to Barcelona a while ago and although I went with mates there were loads of couples around. It's very romantic...you should consider it! :biggrin:

Im going on holiday with my bf to Spain..his aunts paying for us..she lives there and we're taking over the looking after of her adopted son :p:

I went on holiday with one boyfriend, we went to Ibiza and it was cool... I'm going with my current boyfriend this year, we're going to Majorca. I think that seen as you already spend a lot of time together it won't be weird at all, you will enjoy being in a new environment and being able to relax and not have any work/uni worries! Enjoy yourself! :smile:

Im going away with my boyfriend at the beginning of july- we are going to lisbon in Portugal.
Mostly because its a city so it has all of the touristy fun type things to do and resturants etc, but because of its location its also really close to lots of beaches so you get the best of both worlds!

Ive heard some brilliant things about it! It really does depend what kind of holiday your after and what your budget is, booking at this time of year will probably be costly!

sort of. We have been to 3 festivals together, which means a week of being in each other's company together and not much sleep (in a tent!) or good food. It was cool though.

I'm going on hols with my fella for the first time in August. We're going to Tenerife so it will be blazing hot and we're in a busy but not 18-30s resort so we can have a sedate or raucous time, depending on the mood. I'm really looking forward to it actually :biggrin:

we have been away last year with his mum n dad, that was good because we just did our own thing, just stayed with them in a massive private apartment.

this suummer we have booked our own holiday, we r VERY exctied! :biggrin:

we are going to Alcudia, in Majorca. WE didnt want to go anywhere too full on like Magaluf but still with some night life. Alcudia has some good bars and a few clubs to keep us entertained.

no matter where u go you u will have a nice time! x

I've been away with my bf's family twice to his house in France (going for a third time in July!). I love going and have so much fun because I get on well with his family, but we are also given time to do things just me and him.

As its just the two of you going, I'd definatly recommend cities or resorts with lots to do! One couple I'm friends with went to Bulgaria (I think it was)for two weeks and said it would have got abit boring by the second week as there was little to do... However, they found another similar couple and did things with them- so it worked out great, but they were lucky!

Me and my boyfriend went to Gran Canaria when we were 18, and we had a great time. We didn't pick the busiest resort but Puerto Rico just down the road. It meant we could go out partying when we wanted to (we probably did about 3 nights out of 7) and other nights we'd just wander down to the beach or round the town. Thats probably the best way, pick somewhere with a bit of nightlife but not the main 18-30s resort of wherever you're going! It was gorgeous :smile:
