I think just get to grips with different writing styles e.g. journal, interview etc
Practice analyzing random texts - I definitely recommend looking at past papers and mark schemes!

    Good luck!

Keep doing past papers that the easiest thing u can do,
.for question one - keep looking for possible writing techniques e.g. newspaper report, dairy entry etc.
.question two - try to remember words such as simile, metaphor etc
.question 3 - (This is easy - I don't think you need help)

and by any chance do u go park high school?

^This page is really good; I've just been reading through it and looking at mark schemes to get to try and get grips with what they really want in my answers. I recommend printing off a mark scheme and just reading through it

So for your coursework you have 60 so far and for an A you need 98 marks so you will need to get 38/50 in the exam tomorrow. I am too doing the exam tomorrow!!!!

Let me give you the full set of details. In terms of the iGCSE Extended Language Paper
    Extended Paper(50marks) + Coursework(50marks) + S&L(30marks) = Total English Language Grade (130 marks)
    50 out of 130 = E
    62 out of 130 = D
    75 out of 130 = C
    84 out of 130 = B
    94 out of 130 = A
    104 out of 130 = A*
You have 60 marks in total so far (Coursework + S&L)
In order to achieve an A you will need 36 marks in the paper. I would say 38 just to be safe!
note:i am pretty sure it's out of 130. These are what my teacher gave me.

For question 2, if we write MORE than four words for each paragraph, would we get penalised AT ALL? My teacher said no, but before last year, the number of words were never actually specified: now it's written in bold...

My teacher usually tells our class to try and stick to 4 just in case but it shouldn't be too bad if you went over by 2 words I think.

    1. Did you write that the teacher did it or the student? Cause apparently it was the teacher who did it as she had a toffee hammer in her pocket...

I wrote that the ms Selmon did it.. but I was really careless that I signed the letter with my name instead of Selmon. What about you?
