thts all i can say lol!

unit 1 : screwd it big tym, got the practical question totally rong!
i tried to find a by plotting f against m (totally stupid) in stead of v-t graph!!
lol!

unit 2: got the U=Q+W question (last questn on da paper) totally rong!
i mixed up da signs and stated U wud decrease!!! pathetic!! wht was i thinkin!!! how can a bulb's temp decrease when its bein heated!! :mad:

unit 3: perfectly right! at least i think so.. wud kno more abt it when v share answers..lol!

Yeah, Unit 3 was by far the best. Unit 2, the electricity questions were OK, couldn't do any of the thermal. :s-smilie:

Unit 1 was horrible. Did anyone get 0.11N as the weight of the pen and 0.07N as the weight of the pencap, and the other force was the sum of these two?
Unit 1: Ok, not too bad....I hope I can get B grade

Unit2 :It is the easilest, Thermo and Electricity may be my advantages

Unit 3: I chose Topic C, I don't think I can get high marks due to time shortage for revision

I hated Unit 1, loadsa the questions last night I was just like WTF!!! :mad:

When calculating the acceleration for the spade in soil, did anyone get -300??
I onlt know the accelaration is negative, but I don't know what the real value is.
I wrote two descriptions for that experiment with the trolley! Thing is, I wrote the better one second and didn't cross out the first, will everything be read? :frown:
Yeah, usually they read everything unless you cross it out.

Damn, I didn't like that exam... Unit 1 and 2 in particular!

Am I the only one who was happy about the questions on unit 2? Absolutely nothing on stupid gases!!! :biggrin:

For unit 2 what answers did you get for the internal resistance of the battery and the energy wasted? Must have changed my answer 3 times at least!

Internal R I got was 2 ohms, and the last one in that was 2.4kJ i think.. I also got 0.07N and 0.11N for that Q in unit 1.

I screwed up the filament lamp U = Q + W q though.. apart from that , i think I might get an A :wink:

i fot 4 ohms for the internal resistance... over all unit 2 was good, but unit 3 medical physics was wierd... not hard but wierd...
how many actual marks do u need to get above C in astrophysics. 14? 15?. lets say you got you A on the practical got 14 on the astrophysics. what your grade for modular 3

nah internal resistance was 2 ohms, coz Emf = I(R+r)

I = V/R
= 8/4
I = 2


Emf = 12 12= 2(R + r)

6 = 4 + r => r=2

Unit 2 was so horrible! Screwed up the whole of the question with internal resistance (9 marks!) and the U=Q+W one!!

For the last question on unit 2, about the bulb,

U was 0, becasue there is no increase in internal energy becuase it has been on for some time (60 seconds)

W was +2160, because it was a 36watt rated bulb and it was on for 60sec, so 36X60 = 2160

Q was -2160, all energy supplied to the bulb was being emmited to the surroundings because there is no increase in U

i'm very sure that is right, because i just realised that you had to do 36X60 right at the end.
