At college I'm looking to take BTEC music performance and A-Level music technology but after talking to some friends they said that this would be a lot of hard work and with English and History as my other options I don't know if I should still keep these options.

BTEC Music DOES take up a lot of work. I did BTEC at GCSE and I got incredibly bored incredibly quickly; a lot of it wasn't even music.But if you think you'll enjoy it, and it will be okay with your others, then go ahead and try it.
