I'm gonna be visiting Manchester for a day to look at colleges while on holiday in Blackpool.
I want to visit a real local pub, but city centre pubs can be too expensive and a bit dodgy.

So I've decided to go to either a country pub or an estate pub. I'd like to get to know the locals, Plus I want to chat up the local ladies

Can any one tell me what's best and the best parts of the city to find one?
I'm kinda tempted towards the residential estate pub as its easier to get to with public transport and home made food like hot pot, but country pubs are nice in character but probably more expensive.

    Any ideas?
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
