At work I manage content creation so a fair portion of my job is photography. I don't actually have a photography background, I did a film production degree but I'm a self taught photographer and I also am a natural light photographer.

A colleague has asked me to do some photography for her ecommerce website and asked for my day rate (she said no mates rates). It will probably be 1 or 2 days work.

I have no idea how much to charge?

    Any advice would be helpful

I suppose it depends on how good your photographs are. What I usually do is have a hunt around on the internet and find someone who has a similar level to me and see what they are offering and how much they are asking for it. From what I've heard it just depends on the person but I've heard figures of £40 to £100 for a whole day of photography. Failing that you could ask her to offer you a price but there's always the chance that she might offer a lot lower than you are expecting.
