    I'm currently living with my parents and I'm looking at moving out on my own. How much do you spend on bills?

    I'm currently living with my parents and I'm looking at moving out on my own. How much do you spend on bills?
    This is going to vary massively on where you decide to live but this is how much we spend.
    Water rates: £25 a month (this is a set amount for most people but it varies according to where you live)

    Electric rates: £25 (this is for 2 people but we're on econ 7 which is cheaper so i'd assume no less than £20 for one person).

    Landline and broadband: Ours is around £200 a year but there's better deals out there than that.
    Food:£35 max when you average it for the 2 of us, so i d say if you've got a lidl/aldi you can do it on £25 a week.
    Gas: Now this is something we dont have to pay (We've no gas supply)
    As a guess (and assuming without council tax) be prepared to need £200 a month for bills and food and then rent is going to be more than that in most places.
