    Hi,

I found these OCR multiple choice questions for the exam and I'm getting most wrong and guessing the rest.

    http://social.ocr.org.uk/groups/scie...tion-resources

Please could we all work out the answers because the sheet just gives you the answer and not how to get to it. Ones with uncertainties I'm finding really hard. Like cross sectional area uncertainty with a diameter?!

Thanks! Any tips for multiple choice would be great. This is the first year for this specification so there's not much help about.

When combining uncertainties you can only combine absolute uncertainties if all of the units are the same, otherwise you need to convert to % uncertainties first. The rules are to add the uncertainties when adding, subtracting, dividing or multiplying quantities. When the quantity has a power e.g. is squared, multiply by the power so squared you would double the uncertainty.
