    Hey!

I am aware that you can only use a certain number of combinations for your Maths A level, and when the people grading your A Levels, as I am aware, they try to get you the highest possible UMS mark in Maths first and then use the leftover modules for your Further Maths grade.

I got 64 UMS in my S2. S2 is the lowest UMS module out of all the rest. Can I combine S1 and S2 together even though that combination won't get me the highest UMS mark.

If we assume I get the UMS marks for each module shown below, am I able to combine them like this?

    Maths A Level:
    C1: 88
    C2: 100
    C3: 90
    C4: 90
    S1: 83
    S2: 64

    Further Maths A Level:
    FP1: 91
    M1: 90
    D1: 85
    FP2: 90
    M2: 90
    D2: 90

Can I get an A* with these combinations? Keep in mind that the lower S2 UMS mark does not give me the highest possible UMS total for my Maths A-Level.

If you can help I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks, have a great day!

I'm certain that they combine them so that (if possible) you achieve 90 UMS at A2 and 80 overall in maths FIRST, then the rest put into further, thus if your proposed combination gets you an A* in Maths, then it is valid.

Yes, that is valid. They sort the modules to give you the maximum grade in normal maths, not the maximum UMS.
