"It is believed some of the girls are as young as 13 or 14 and are examined by a doctor to check whether or not they are still virgins.

They are taken out of schools, away from their family and forced to meet the North Korean leader’s needs."

    Well, what do you think?

it's not impossible. in Joseon era (1600+ A.D), the king picked out concubines and to qualify they did tests to ''prove'' that the girls in the ''competition'' were not virgin. that fact is relevant because North Korea still pretty much run under the joseon traditions whereas south korea - though have not forgotten their joseon trad. - they have adapted to a much more westernised culture.

oh i misread the whole thing, but there's your history fact of the day lel . j'adore l'histoire <3
