Postgraduate Loans (Distance Learning)
I want to apply for a distance learning course which lasts for 3 years. Can I use the postgraduate loan to pay for it?
There is a full time equivalent which lasts for 1 year. No part time option. And then the 3 year distance learning course.

Distance learning courses need to meet the part time intensity rules for funding - that means 50% intensity (so 2 years to do the equivalent of a 1 year FT course).
If you're not sure then contact the university concerned and ask if the course will be returned to SLC as fundable under the PGL scheme.
