I made an innocent joke about a friend to someone I had only just met. This person was not impressed and now has a really bad impression of me and has said I am not a nice person. I feel absolutely awful that someone would think I was a malicious person. Other mutual friends thought the joke was funny but they have known me a long time and know I am a nice person. Anyone got any advice on how I can feel better?
