Okay so as most of you know there has been an igcse English exam today. I did what I usually do which normally gets me a's in my mocks. I thought I did particularly well until I came out of the hall and my friend told me something. So apparently for question 1 you're supposed to have an EVEN number of bullet points for a1 a2 and a3. Well unfortunately this time I did like 5 for a1, 7 for a2 and probably 5 or 6 for a3. My point being that this is clearly uneven. I also think my 3 paragraphs may be uneven aswell. However, I'm almost 100% sure that all the points ive chosen are correct and well developed. So my question is are they going to put me in band 3 (only 9 marks maximum) because of this? I also think ive done almost everything that you need to do to get into band 1 or 3 but the thing that is stopping me from getting past band 3 is the inconsistent bullet points. I've asked my friends and teachers and they said you cant get past 9 marks because its not even despite all of the other good things ive done that would get me into band one. So is there any chance of me getting past band 3 and higher than 9 marks (not including v-spag '5 marks') ?????

    Thankyouuuu

Well tbh if you have got 5 points for a1 a2 a3 then yes you can get higher than band 3. If you got more than 5 points for a1 a2 or a3 that is perfect. This guarantees you to get higher than band 3.

Thanks, and yh I thought that aswell but everyone is telling me I'm not going to get higher than 9 marks because it is inconsistent even though I think I got all of them correct. Plus the paragraphs are uneven

Tbh the paragraphs will be lost in the spag mark which is total 5 marks. But you will get credit for you points and it being well developed.
