Pros and cons about your medical school Watch

I've heard that the workload at places like Imperial is higher than at other universities, however as the workload for medicine is high anyway I assume this to be regarding other courses and not medicine.

I was also wondering if some medical schools have mandatory attendance to lectures, or if it would be possible to never go to any lectures and listen to them all at home (if that were your thing)

I would appreciate it if someone could clarify these questions to me and add the pros and cons of studying medicine at your university (I don't expect a massive list but just a few ideas, yet a massive list would be very welcome!)

Thank you very much.
